| Welcome, traveler, to
Alphas by Lady Red! I've been interested in decorative alphas for a
while now, but it's only been recently that I have gotten the nerve to
try to make some of my own. I was pleasantly surprised when I made my
first alpha and offered it to one of the groups I'm in, and I got a lot
of compliments on it. That alpha was Very Cherry!, and suddenly, I was
hooked! I have several now to offer to my visitors, and am in the
process of making more. I hope my visitors will enjoy them enough
to take a few of them home.
Before you star collecting,
though, I have a few terms of use that I need to explain and here's
where we do that:
1.
My alphas may not be used on any site using pornographic, illegal, or
inappropriate material.
2.
They may not be added to any other collections, offered on CD's or other
media, or placed on a website as downloads or passed through group or
emails. You may, however, send a link through these groups along with a preview image of one
upper and one lower case letter.
3.
My alphas are free; they may not be redistributed, sold, offered as
downloads, or altered in any way.
4.
Credit must be given on the page where the alpha is used,
with a link back to: http://ladyredalphas.bravehost.com/
and with the
logo that matches the alpha, which will be included in the zip file.
5.
You must provide me with the URL of the site where you are going to use
the alpha so that I can visit and see that the site doesn't violate any
of my terms of use. Once I have seen that everything is acceptable, I
will email you a zip file with the alpha. The reason for doing things in
this manner is that in the past, I have had people ask to use graphics
that I have created and have not complied with my terms.
6.
You must have a 'No Right Click' script and the 'No Image Toolbar' code
on the page where you plan to place the alpha. Too often, people will
take graphics from someone's web site and use them without permission or
the proper credits, so your assistance in helping to prevent this will
be appreciated. Both codes can be obtained at Dynamic Drive at http://www.dynamicdrive.com
If you just collect
alphas, and don't plan to use them, then some of these terms will not
apply to you; the primary one that will is that you may
share the alphas with any groups you may be involved with, but you must
provide a link to my alpha site so that anyone who likes them can find
their way there if they are interested in using them for a web page, per
my terms in item #2, above.
Previews for the alphas
I have so far are shown below They are all at 50%, so the alpha itself
will be approximately 100 x 100 pixels . If you find one... or two or three.. that
you like, email me a penneyn@gmail.com
and put the name of the alpha(s) you'd like to have in the subject line,
the URL of the page where you're going to put the alpha, if you plan to
do that, and I'll send them off as soon as I get your
message. I understand that some of us like to collect the
alphas just to have a collection, so if you are just a collector, let me
know that in your message, and I will send the alpha without the hassle
of the check of ID, proof of insurance and urine sample routine. *grin*
A Cherry on Top

This alpha was made using a scrap set by Monti of
Monti's
Playground,
and if you
choose to use it
for display on a
web page, then
it will be
necessary for
you to follow
her TOU, which
is basically the
same as mine.

Very Cherry!

That's all for now, but check back frequently to see new
alphas as I add
them!
